With winter approaching the cold weather can leave our skin feeling dry, dull, itchy and irritated. If you’re anything like me it can become almost impossible to live in your own skin. Thats why I have decided to share 5 natural tips for helping to beat dry skin this winter.
Avoid hot showers/baths.
Even though there is nothing better than a nice hot shower on a cold snowy day, try using lukewarm water. Your skin will thank you!
Exfoliate your skin.
Exfoliating helps to remove dull, dry, uneven skin, so remember to exfoliate at least 1 to 3 times per week depending on your skin type.
Apply a good moisturize to your skin. Natural oils like avocado, jojoba, almond, grape seed and coconut are great for applying after the shower. You can also use your favorite lotion, just remember to avoid products that contain parabens, BHA/BHT, polyethylene glycol (PEG), Fragrance, Mineral Oils which are hormone disruptors.
Heal your skin from the inside.
Make sure your diet includes healthy fats like, salmon, avocados, coconut oil, chia seeds and more.
Don’t forget to stay hydrated.
Keep you body well hydrated by consuming the recommended water intake. Not only will this keep your skin moisturized but it will also help with keeping it clear.
