Let’s face it morning can be tough sometimes… you oversleep, skip breakfast, rushed out the door and now are left feeling completely flustered.   Since the morning felt like a complete bust, the rest of the day can feel the same.  Our mornings can set the tone for the rest of the day, so isn’t it important that we start our day off right.

Here are 7 Easy Morning Routines that can help keep you feeling positive and focused for the rest of the day

1:   Stay Unplugged  
Don’t be so quick to grab your phone, turn on the computer or TV. Try spending at least 30 to 60 minutes being present in the moment.

2: Re-hydrate 
Make sure to have your water (add some lemon) in the morning.  You have spent the last 8 hours sleeping, so now it’s time to re-hydrate.  Lemon Water is also a great way to wake up our body and get things moving.

3: Gratitude 
Take a moment to reflect and be grateful for things in your life. Being aware of the wonderful things around us is a great way to start the day off on a positive note.

4: Exercise
Whatever type of movement you enjoy in the morning is a great way to get your body ready for the day.  Exercise is great for releasing those “feel good” endorphins.  So, whether you choose stretching, walking, yoga, weights or only have a short amount time, you will reap the benefits through out the rest of the day.

5: Fuel up   
Make sure to have a healthy balanced breakfast of high-quality protein, healthy carbohydrates, fruits/veggie and healthy fat.   Breakfast we give you the energy you need as well as help you focused throughout the day.

6: Set your goals for the day
Write out your “to do” list for the day, even if it’s the smallest task.  Creating a to do list helps clear your mind of all the thoughts/tasks and organizes it clearly.  Also being able to check things off gives us a feeling of accomplishment.

7: Get dressed up
Take time in the morning to get yourself dressed.  You can even pick your clothes out the night before.  You owe it to yourself to feel your best, so why not look your best as well.

Each day is a new opportunity to crush your goals, no matter how big or small.  Stay focus, build your support tribe and kick ass!!
